Returning to cycling after 7-8 years was awesome.
With two months of cycling experience and less than 200kms under my belt, i decided to go for my first century ride. Saturday 24th august 2013 is the day, start point was meenakshi temple on banneghatta road @ 6:30 AM. Well i dint make it to the start point on time i was late by 5 mins.
There were 7 of us
1. Abhay
2. Ashok
3. Hari kishan
4. Khuram
5. Raj
6. Naresh
7.Anil Kadsur
There was no route decided before start, after discussion all agreed to do a century ride to kanakpura. It was first century ride for Abhay, Ashok, Hari and Me. Ride started at 6:40 with all good spirit and smiling faces :).
Reached kanakpura road after an awesome descent, from there we rode one it was a good ride there were riders ahead, i was hydrating all the way. I was riding alone for some time, later i was joined by Hari Krishan, we stopped for a banana and chikki break. We were joined by anil and naresh, we took couple of pics here
We continued here on rode till harohalli and had a nice break fast at vasu's hotel, I had 2 idli and a vada and half plate rice bath. Anil insisted me to try figure rice (lemon rice) but i declined the offer as i dont like it. We dint forgot to click a pic here
Naresh was running on low pressure on his bike, shared my pump with him. Anil tried to pump it with his running shows on
From here journey continued to kanakpura all went well, me and hari road together for long time, in between we stopped for a banana break. Reached kanakpur and now its time to pose guess what we had bapu to join us :P

Return journey started from here all went well, it was decided next stop will be at harohalli. I rode alone for most of the time, i stopped in a village to have banana i was joined by hari there. From there rode on till harohalli, 4 of them (Anil, ahok, Naresh and Raj) were already there. Abhay and Hari were yet to reach, i stopped for a while and started saying i will be slow and these guys will catch me up soon.
It was a good ride, I gave a 5 mins break before reaching bangalore. I was joined by anil at break point, from there we rode together for some time and as usual anil disappeared :). Reached adigas and met anil we waited for other riders to come naresh joined us 20-25 mins later. From there I took a leave as i had office in after noon.
All in all it was a good ride, i never thought that i will able to complete it, but at end of the ride story was different and i still had energy left to ride.
post this ride anil insisted me to do 300 k brevet next week. Will share that exp in another post.
